Meet Our Veterinary Team

Before embarking on her career in veterinary care, Danielle spent several years working as a legal assistant at a law firm in Ottawa. Ultimately, the charm and close-knit community of small-town life drew her back, and she has since become a familiar and valued member of the Arnprior Animal Hospital team.

With many years of dedicated service, Danielle brings both experience and warmth to her role at the front desk.

Outside of work, she enjoys long walks with her two Labrador Retrievers and cherishes time spent with her family, which includes three busy teenagers.

Mikayla is an integral member of our administration team. Growing up on a hobby farm, she has always been guided by her love for animals, making the transition into a career in animal care a natural choice.

Mikayla finds joy in nurturing the relationship between pets and their owners and, as a Fear Free Certified professional, takes pride in ensuring every visit to the clinic is a positive experience.

She has an Australian Shepherd, Lola, who loves visiting the clinic to get lots of love and treats from her colleagues. Mikayla enjoys yoga, travelling, gardening, and homesteading in her free time.

Stephanie has been a Registered Veterinary Technician at the Arnprior Animal Hospital for over 20 years, where she now serves as lead technician and inventory manager.

As a Fear Free Certified professional, she has built her career around caring for animals, supporting clients and keeping our hospital running smoothly.

When not at the clinic, Stephanie can be found walking her dog, cross-country skiing, kayaking or playing a round of golf.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Makenzie has done it all in vet med - from orthopedic surgery and emergencies to wildlife rehab! Now as our Practice Manager, she brings that wide range of experience to leading our team and keeping our clinic running smoothly.

As a Registered Veterinary Technician and Fear Free Certified professional, she loves making sure our team feels supported (because happy staff = happy pets).

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her boating on the river, reading a good book, or wrangling her farm animals with the help of her two spoiled dogs, Rosie and Rhya.

Mickayla is a proud graduate of Algonquin College and a passionate Registered Veterinary Technician who loves all aspects of veterinary medicine.

She is committed to ongoing continuing education to stay current with the latest techniques and advancements, always striving to deliver the gold standard of care to every patient. She is also trained in Fear Free techniques and is dedicated to creating a calm, stress-free environment to ensure a more positive experience for both pets and their families.

Outside of the clinic, Mickayla enjoys spending time outdoors hiking with her dog Junie, relaxing at home with her three cats, and sharing quality time with friends and family.

Jillian is a recent graduate of Algonquin College's Veterinary Technician program (Class of 2025). With a strong passion for client communication, she strives to build trusting relationships between the veterinary team, pet owners, and their beloved animals.

As a Fear Free Certified professional, she is dedicated to creating positive, low-stress experiences for every patient who comes through the hospital door.

Outside of work, Jillian shares her home with two cats, Katniss and Jasper, a leopard gecko named Bowser, and several shrimp tanks that keep her busy during her spare time. Whether it's caring for her own pets or helping others care for theirs, she is committed to providing adequate care for all.

Michelle wears many hats at the Arnprior Animal Hospital. Whether she’s answering phones, greeting clients at the front desk, or lending a hand in the treatment area, she does it all with a smile and a calm, can-do attitude.

Fear Free Certified, Michelle is always ready to support both patients and their families, and her kindness, positivity, and willingness to help wherever she’s needed make her an invaluable member of our team.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys relaxing by the pool, spending time with her family, and soaking up the sun with her two dogs, Cookie and Gordie.
