Nutritional Counselling
Balanced Nutrition to Meet Each Pet's Unique Needs
Giving your dog or cat a well-balanced diet tailored to their nutritional requirements plays a key role in keeping them healthy at every stage of life.
Based on your pet's age, breed, species, and health status, their dietary needs and preferences can differ significantly. Customized nutrition plans may help manage specific conditions like diabetes, kidney issues, or joint discomfort.
At Arnprior Animal Hospital, our team is here to guide pet owners through the overwhelming number of food options available and help them choose the ideal diet, including proper portion sizes for their furry companions. Plus, our in-house shop and online store make it convenient to get everything your pet needs.
The Nutritional Counselling Process
We’ll start by conducting a physical exam and a health analysis to determine your pet’s specific nutritional needs. We'll then use that information to determine the best way to meet their nutritional needs.
In some cases, we might recommend feeding your companion a specific prescription diet that offers added benefits that regular products do not.
As pets age, their nutritional needs change, so it's important for us to reassess their situation periodically. From time to time, we will revisit their plan to ensure it is the best option for your furry friend.
